nancy...

  One of my first girl icons was Nancy Spungen. Hmmm... what does it say about me that this was who I adored as a baby goth/punk 7th grader? I've always had a soft spot for schizophrenics. My friends and I all had "Sid & Nancy true love never dies" etc written on our folders with hearts drawn around it... And finding this book at a used bookstore one summer only fueled the fire!
  Now I pretty much like her hair (total hair inspiration of the summer!), black and white sweaters, blacked out eyes, micro mini skirts with fishnets or shredded stockings.

hello there!!

  Well, I have been so neglectful of this space... I still post on a (mostly) regular basis over at honeyed heaven.  It just seems that with work (I work A LOT!) and heat and trips to eat froyo and berry picking, this blog seems to always get lost by the wayside. I promise to make an effort to check in more. And the seasons are starting to shift. I feels like fall, then it turns hot again... Still, I'm getting warm and cozy things into the shop every day. And I'm saving for a big birthday/brothers wedding trip in oct (and a fall journey with my littles to orcas island) so I've tripled the amount of items I'm posting daily.

    So much goodness happening in my little shop! Hope you're enjoying the last bits of summer!! I am! xo m

oh, astral boutique (and new stuff!)

  My lovely pal Sasha (mistress of this domain!) seemed a little blue so I sent here a package. She even blogged about it at her wonderful blog, Astral Boutique, it totally made my day!!I got into blogging when my little one was a tiny baby and I was at home and lonesome and wanted like minded ladies to connect with... I'm afraid my blog dreams of a realm of many new friends weren't really realized in those early days but I did eventually meet the gem of a lady that is Sasha and I'm ever so happy to call her a friend. The kind of friend that I've never "seen" in real life (yet!!) but a true inspiration and a dear, always ready to answer questions or lend a little support over the occasional woes of our etsy lives...
  and speaking of etsy... well, I've been quite neglectful this work blog. I have been listing plenty of things in my shop, although June was slooow, July is picking up though! Stop by and check it out! see?
